This website has been made possible through a grant from the University of Manchester that supported staff time and development monies to build the website and establish an advisory panel.
Student voice is central part of this webpage and the redesign in 2025-2026 was co-designed with students for students using participatory design workshops.

This initiative was conceptualised by Sarah MacQuarrie and Ann Lendrum in 2018 and was fuelled by their interest and research into teacher engagement.

April 2018 - Concept & Feasibility Study
The project began with a concept and feasibility study to explore possibilities for connecting students, teachers, and research.

2019-2021 - Pilot
Two programmes were adapted to test out the concept. The pilot was extended and achieved noteworthy outcomes during pandemic teaching years.

2021-2022 - Advisory Group
An advisory group guided preparations and decision-making to enhance changes to student research project models.

December 2022 - Website Launch
The official website was launched, providing a platform for sharing student projects and fostering engagement.

2023 - Taslima Ivy Joins
Taslima Ivy joined the project team, providing expertise in student voice and collaboration. Conference presentations and workshops for researchers and staff were delivered.

2024 - Student Collaboration Begins
Formal student collaboration and partnership work begins, connecting student research to wider communities.

2024 - Joanne Pennock Joins
Joanne Pennock joined the project team, providing expertise in doctoral students and PGR considerations.

2025 - 100 Summaries Completed
Target of summarising 100 student projects achieved, showcasing real-world impact.

Ongoing work includes designing and preparing a bespoke LinkedIn tool and redevelopment of the website to enhance functionality.
